I’m the heart, eye, and soul behind Southern Flame Photography. Based in Meade County, Kentucky, I’m a storyteller with a camera, a mama when I’m not behind the lens, and someone who knows firsthand just how sacred a single photograph can be. When I was 25, I lost my first husband. That moment changed everything. It taught me that photos become the pieces of someone you carry with you — the moments, the smiles, the life you can’t get back but can still hold onto. That understanding is rooted deep in my work. I don’t take a single image for granted. Then I became a mother, and life shifted again. Time felt fast, fleeting, and unbelievably precious. My son made me realize how quickly seasons change, how little moments become the big ones, and how important it is to freeze them before they pass. All of that shapes the way I shoot: I’m not here for stiff smiles or perfect poses. I’m here for golden light, messy laughs, stolen glances, and the quiet magic in the in-between. The real stuff. The stuff that matters when everything else fades.
